Leadership & Faculty
The faculty members teaching in Northwestern’s Counseling Program are leading practitioners in their area of academic expertise. They are seasoned clinicians who actively work in the field and treat clients, allowing them to use real case examples in their teaching to illustrate key concepts to students. While their teaching is rooted in psychodynamic thinking, faculty members come from a wide variety of theoretical orientations and a number of different clinical specializations.
As practicing counselors, our faculty members are extremely knowledgeable and supportive of students. They are dedicated to each student’s development as an individual and as an effective clinical mental health counselor.
