Dr. Chaney is Clinical Training Director/Core Faculty and Student Liaison to AccessibleNU for The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Dr. Chaney was previously a K-12 School Counseling Specialist for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for four years and a practicing school counselor for CPS for eight years in which she supported 800+ school counselors within the district. Dr. Chaney received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in School Counseling from Chicago State University, and her doctoral degree from Governors State University in Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Chaney is passionate about children and adolescents and how counseling within the educational system drives outcome data and advocacy. Dr. Chaney seeks to improve best practices within counselors in training, empower counselors to go from good to great and advocate for the counseling profession.
